Description--Back	Postal data: unmarked, unposted (PLACE STAMP HERE, UNITED STATES CUBA CANADA AND MEXICO ONE CENT, FOREIGN TWO CENTS) printed inside stamp box; Postcard type: divided back (THIS SIDE FOR CORRESPONDENCE; THIS SIDE FOR ADDRESS ONLY); Logo: (OFFICIAL SOUVENIR POST CARD); Trademarks: (HUDSON-FULTON CELEBRATION) printed on a banner above two circles, left circle contains a caravel ship and the year 1609, the right circle contains a steamship with sails and the year 1807, a caduceus is printed behind the two circles and below the banner, the years 1609 and 1909 are printed in the upper left and right corners of the trademark; Printed message (ERIE CANAL BOAT - The Erie Canal connecting Lake Erie with the Hudson River, was begun in 1817 and completed in 1825. By this enterprise New York harbor was connected by water with the remotest regions of the Great Lakes, commerce was greatly increased, and New York, which formerly ranked second to Philadelphia in size, soon became the metropolis of the New World.)
