Mr. Russell Plimpton,
Minneapolis Institute of Arts,
Minneapolis, Minn.
Dear mr. Plimpton:
I am enclosing the material
for the catalogue, and under separate cover one
full set of photographs of the Show. I talked
over with Mrs. Whitney the material for the
catalogue, and she agreed that it would be too
cumbersome to attempt any biographical sketches,
but she did give a great deal of consideration to
the article which i am sending and which I hope
you will like well enough to make a preface to
the catalogue.
Mrs. Whitney asks me to tell
you she is very pleased that you are going to have
the Show first, and will be anxious to know how
it is received in Minneapolis. I expect to come on
one day during the time of the exhibition to see it
myself, and hope to have the pleasure of seeing you
then.
Sincerely yours,
JRF:EF
P.S. The shipment comes from Budworth, who is
paying particular attention to the protection of
the frames. If the padding is kept and put on again
by packers in each museum we can be sure of not
spoiling the looks of the exhibition by shabby framing.
The shipping directions will be sent in a week's time.
