My Dear Miss Force:-
I received a letter from Miss Masterson in which she gave the list of my paintings and where they had been sent. Her letter also contained the good news of the sale of my still-life. I can't tell you how pleased I am that this picture was purchased as I was rather inclined to be discouraged over the financial side of the exhibition as I am always hoping that some day I will be able to sell enough pictures to allow me to do nothing but paint in order to make a living.
The six pictures I asked for have arrived here and I thank you very much for sending them. I was sorry to have hurried you but in order to sell a picture to this museum it was necessary that the funds be taken from this year's budget, and this is the end of our fiscal year.
I am most grateful to you for all the good things you said about the appearance of my exhibition and for your most kind invitation to exhibit again in your gallery. Of course I will be most pleased to have another exhibiton at any time you wish it.
Mrs. More joins me in sending best regards.
Yours very sincerely
