Transcript	October 13, 1927 Dear Doctor Halton: I have been away, and I suppose you have been also; but I am anxious now to go on with the matter of John Sloan's pictures. I wrote you in the summer that Duncan Phillips had accepted to be Chairman, and offers a contribution of $250. I am writing now to the list which the Art Students' League sent me, and think that we ought to close the matter in a month's time. I htink we might still talk the matter over by just having a litle unofficial meeting consisting of you and anyone of those who were present at the last meeting that you think would be interested, and myself.
