Dear Doctor Halton:
I have been away, and I suppose you have been also; but I am anxious now to go on with the matter of John Sloan's pictures.
I wrote you in the summer that Duncan Phillips had accepted to be Chairman, and offers a contribution of $250. I am writing now to the list which the Art Students' League sent me, and think that we ought to close the matter in a month's time. I htink we might still talk the matter over by just having a litle unofficial meeting consisting of you and anyone of those who were present at the last meeting that you think would be interested, and myself. Will you let me know how soon that would be convenient for you?
Sincerely yours,
JRF:EF
